One of the best things about building your own home is that you get to choose all the different things that go into the house, one of the worst things about building a new house is you have to choose all the different things that go into the house!
So here is a list of some of the things we had to choose:
Cabinets, type and colour;
Floors;
countertops;
backsplash;
siding;
doors;
windows;
fixtures;
sinks;
showers;
vanities;
lighting;
Ok that's a big list and I'm not even covering everything.

So here are some of the choices we made:

Hardwood floors all upstairs;
Vinyl flooring in he basement, with the exception of the bathroom and gym;
Quartz countertops with shaker cabinets;
We are still struggling with the backsplash.
